I'm an educator, always creative in many ways. I started sewing when I was a teenager so I could have the stylish clothes I couldn't afford. I majored in art as well as academics in high school and took art classes throughout my career, whenever I could. I loved my work as an educator, and also started to write and illustrate children's picture books. I continue to make quilts and paint on wood or canvas. I made new slip covers for the sofa you see in this photo. My family includes two amazing grandsons, two grown children, and husband Howard. I can often be found spending time with them, or learning new Israeli dances when I am not being otherwise creative.
